As far as counting toward receiving incentive awards on your fundraising, the day of the ride was the official last day to get donations in.  However, there were a couple of days of processing donations beginning this week that if we had more donations in the mail, they have been counted in but now, we're onto the next step.
The goal is to raise funds for the American Lung Association's work in Oregon so, please do send in all late donations.  All donors will receive receipts and we can credit it to your fundraising, it just won't count toward the incentive prizes this year since we have to have a cutoff - to order the prizes and get them into the stores so we can send out coupons to all you fundraisers to go pick them up.  It takes a little time and we're working hard to get everything wrapped up and prize coupons out to you all.  Thanks fundraisers for excellent and unsurpassed work on the fundraising front, we project that we have raised over $500,000.00 this year - the biggest ever.  Great job!  That just means good news for all of us and our lungs here in Oregon.

We are always concerned of course about keeping the route safe for riders, we have folks riding the course for that express purpose and will continue to do so.  Regarding the rumor of tacks being laid on the roadway this year; my understanding is that there were a lot of flats after a certain section but I have not had any substantiated reports of actual tacks being seen or found.  It is quite possible that a certain section of roadway had more small damaging debris than other sections.  Though tacks could do this, an accident that was not thoroughly cleaned up also could leave that sort of debris.  Or an uncovered truck carrying small items blowing off that could puncture tires.  We have a lot of support throughout the route in the communities we go through and I want to recognize and say thank you to those communities.  Of course there will always be folks who are frustrated with large rides and with the impact of shared use on those days, there are also many people looking out for us as we go through.

I have a Pepsi-Cola sponsor that is sending in a donation, the request was "lost" and that is why it didn't get turned in on time.  Will this still apply to my total donations for the prizes that are sent out?

THANKS!!!! Kiss Kiss

My friend and I were noticing that we had checked off a box for our t-shirt size on the registration form, will we be getting t-shirts mailed to us?

I understand right at the beginning of the route there were tacks on the road and I suspect it was a deliberate and malicious act for the RTB riders.  I have heard of and know several people who got flats at that stretch.

Question: Can the ride organizers do anything about this?  post ride?  before next year's ride?
