FUNDRAISING 101 CLINIC
REI Tualatin - April 16 at 7:00 pm.
Fundraising is easy! At this clinic, Jennifer Baldwin, the Lung Association's Development Director will share her knowledge from years of fundraising experience.
She'll show you how easy it is to raise support for the ride.
Past top fundraising riders will also be there to break it down and give you comfortable, simple-to-use tips and techniques for asking for support from friends,
coworkers and family.
You'll walk out of there ready to conquer the world... or at least reach that top fundraising prize of a free pass to the sold-out Cycle Oregon ride!

Every rider has a personal reason for taking part in Reach the Beach. For some of us, we just like to pedal through the splendor of Oregon.
For others, the ride is a personal challenge. We have dedicated riders living with asthma and many others riding to support friends and family who are struggling with lung disease.
In addition to being an incredible bicycle ride, Reach the Beach is raising much-needed funds to support the work of the American Lung Association in Oregon. Lung disease -
including asthma, emphysema and lung cancer - is the third leading cause of death in America. Over the last decade, the death rate from lung disease has been growing faster
than the death rate from almost any other killer. Since 1915, the Lung Association has been fighting lung disease through education, community service, advocacy and research.
We are working to help those who suffer from lung disease today, and to stop the spread of lung disease tomorrow. When you ride, you're right there with us in our effort toward
preventing lung disease and promoting lung health.

We love hearing from riders, learning about why they ride and hearing funny stories from on the course. That one guy who ran into his high school friend along course, the
woman who decided to take her sandwich "to-go" so she could enjoy it along the Little Nestucca River.... We want to hear your ride stories too!
Our new Rider Discussion Board is a great place to post your stories. It's free to log in and create an account, then tell us your story. We'd love to hear from you.

Reach the Beach is the major fundraiser for the American Lung Association in Oregon (ALAO). Every pedal stroke helps promote clean Oregon air and healthy Oregon lungs.
You have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children with asthma and adults with lung diseases as you achieve your fundraising goal.
This year we have added in some pretty sweet fundraising prizes. Top fundraisers will get a pass to the sold-out Cycle Oregon ride in September. Riders can also qualify for a Novara Buzz
bike and a handy Ortlieb pannier from REI. Not sure where to start? Check out the
fundraising tips on our website and take advantage of our
easy-to-use online fundraising tools that make it a snap to reach your goal in no time.
Sincerely,
Team Reach the Beach |
